My dear Friends and Family,
As you know, my parents have been involved with Friendship Circle for a very long time. My mom was actually the first official employee in 1997 and until recently was the Program Director of Friendship House.
My father also worked at Friendship Circle for 11 years as the Recovery Rabbi. For most of my life, I have grown up alongside of Friendship Circle and watched them perform miracles for thousands of families in the community.
This past year has been very special for me, as I became a first time FC volunteer myself. Every Wednesday evening a spent time with Natalia and other kids at the Life Skills program. Together we practiced Safety, Time Management and Money Management. Most importantly I learned Patience and Love from all my Special Friends at Friendship Circle. I just got back from 3 wonderful days at Friendship Circle overnight camp, playing, learning and having so much fun with all the Special Campers!
That is why I am raising money for Walk4Friendship- Friendship Circle’s annual 5k fundraiser.
Last year I raised over $5,000 with your help. This year I hope to grow that amount to $6,000 with the goal of helping Friendship Circle open the doors of their brand new Farber Soul Center. This building is FC's first step into serving adults with special needs through the culinary, digital and traditional arts. Read more here: http://www.friendshipcircle.org/soul/
I have walked the 5K route for the past six years, since I was 8 years old. Help me accomplish this mission of raising $6,000 and support me as I walk for Friendship Circle.
